Amy Cook is from American Fork, Utah. She received her training at Jacqueline's School of Ballet under the direction of Jacqueline Colledge, Heather Gray and Brittnee Squires. She attended summer intensive programs at Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theater, and RDA National Choreography Intensive on scholarship. Amy competed at Youth America Grand Prix from 2013-2016, placing in the top 12 each year. In the Summer of 2015, she toured Europe with UMB II, performing as part of the Young Tanzommer Festival in Austria. Amy was invited to train with Utah Metropolitan Ballet’s professional company in 2014 and became a full company member in 2016. She was promoted to Soloist in 2019. Some of her favorite roles include: Dark Angel in George Balanchine’s Serenade, Turning Girl in George Balanchine’s Who Cares, featured soloist in Alan Hineline’s Rhapsody, Cinderella in Jacqueline Colledge’s Cinderella, as well as Snow Queen, Waltz of the Flowers Soloist and Sugar Plum Fairy in Jacqueline Colledge’s Nutcracker.
